The Recon is a structured, high-capacity motorcycle tank bag designed for touring and adventure riding. With 20L of storage expandable to 25L, it gives you the space to carry more without losing its shape or becoming difficult to organise.

Its structured construction keeps the main compartment stable and easy to access, while the dedicated top compartment, internal organisation and repositionable quick-access pouch keep smaller essentials exactly where you need them.

A modular Velcro panel on the top gives you a dedicated space for attachments, patches and personalisation, letting you configure the Recon around your ride.

The universal quick-release strap mounting system is designed to work across a wide range of motorcycles, while integrated strap retainers help keep the mounting setup organised when the bag is removed. Off the bike, tuck-away backpack straps let you carry the Recon comfortably.

Dedicated Rain Cover Storage

Product Manual
Mounting the Recon
  1. Place the Recon centrally on the motorcycle tank and determine the best position for your motorcycle.
  2. Secure the front mounting straps using suitable anchor points on either side of the motorcycle.
  3. Secure the rear mounting straps and adjust until the bag sits firmly against the tank.
  4. Tighten all straps evenly to prevent unnecessary movement.
  5. Secure excess webbing using the strap management points.
  6. Turn the handlebars completely from lock to lock and confirm that the bag does not interfere with steering or controls.
  7. Use the quick-release buckles whenever you need to remove or reposition the bag.
Before Every Ride

Check all mounting points and make sure the straps remain properly tensioned.

Expanding the Bag

Open the expansion zipper around the lower section of the bag to increase capacity from 20L to 25L. Recheck handlebar clearance after expanding the bag, particularly on motorcycles with compact cockpit areas.

Using the Quick Access Pouch

Mount the pouch on the exterior Velcro panel when you want frequently used items immediately accessible.

Move it to the internal Velcro panel when you want the pouch secured inside the bag or prefer a cleaner exterior setup.

Backpack Conversion

Remove the Recon from the motorcycle, deploy the tuck-away shoulder straps and adjust them for a comfortable fit. Stow the straps again before remounting the bag on the motorcycle.

Care

Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth after dusty or muddy rides. Allow the bag and rain cover to dry completely before long-term storage. Do not machine wash.
Rider Tip

Don't pack a tank bag like a duffel.

Use the Recon's organisation to your advantage: keep frequently used items in the top compartment or Quick Access Pouch and reserve the main compartment for larger gear. Keep heavier items lower in the bag to maintain a more stable load on the motorcycle.

Will the Recon fit my motorcycle?

Recon is designed as a universal strap-mounted tank bag and fits most motorcycles with a conventional tank area and suitable mounting points. Recon's adjustable strap system and shape of the bag allows it to adapt to different tank shapes and bike layouts, making installation straightforward across a wide range of motorcycles.
Is the Recon suitable for touring?

Yes. Its 20–25L capacity, structured construction, organised storage and quick-access layout have been designed particularly around riders who need substantial tank-mounted storage for longer rides.
How does the Quick Access Pouch work?

The pouch attaches using Velcro and can be positioned on the outside of the bag for immediate access or moved to the internal Velcro panel when you want it inside the main compartment.
Can I access the fuel cap without completely removing the mounting system?

Yes. The two front quick-release buckles are positioned on the sides of the bag for easier access. Simply unclip them and lift the front of the Recon to reach the fuel cap—there’s no need to remove the entire bag or mounting setup.
Does expanding the bag affect riding?

The Recon expands upward by approximately 6 cm, giving you extra storage without significantly changing its footprint on the tank. The added height is designed to remain practical for touring use, but rider visibility can vary depending on your height, riding position, and motorcycle. We recommend checking your forward view once the bag is fully expanded.
